Tixa is a ticketing platform operated by BYKABIRO LABS. Events are run by independent organisers. Tixa sells the ticket and handles the payment; the organiser runs the event itself, sets the price, and decides who gets in.
Tickets are paid for with M-Pesa. When you pay, the prompt on your phone and your M-Pesa receipt will show BYKABIRO LABS, not "Tixa" — this is the same company.
A ticket is only issued once the payment has been confirmed with the payment provider. If money leaves your account but no ticket arrives, contact us and we will trace it.
If the organiser cancels the event, you are refunded in full, automatically, to the M-Pesa number you paid from. You do not need to ask.
Outside of cancellation, tickets are not refundable — including if you cannot attend, arrive after entry closes, or are refused entry by the organiser or venue. If an event is postponed rather than cancelled, your ticket stays valid for the new date.
If you were charged twice, or charged and never issued a ticket, that is not a refund question — contact us and it will be corrected.
Admission is controlled by the organiser and the venue. They may refuse entry for their own reasons, including age limits, capacity, or conduct. Tixa is not the gatekeeper and cannot overrule them.
Organisers are paid out of ticket sales after the event, once a short holding period has passed, so that refunds can be honoured if something goes wrong. Organisers are responsible for the event taking place as advertised.
